Automobile tires - operation and leaving

Tires are a unique link between the car and road.
Under any road conditions safety depends on a stain of contact rather small on the area. Thus, it is very important to support tires in a good condition and at their replacement to use the appropriate equipment.
The size of tires at the first complete set on your car is defined by designers of cars and manufacturers of tires taking into account all aspects of operation. At their replacement it is not necessary to change the sizes, type, loading and speed indexes, without having consulted preliminary with the expert.

Installation and dismantle of tires

These operations should is made only by professionals with use of the appropriate equipment. Wrong installation can become an accident cause or damages of the tire, the chamber and a rim.
Installation of the tires which are not coinciding on type and the size. Except for special cases and cases of use of a spare wheel, the tires mounted on one axis, should be one type and the size.
It is not recommended, and in some camps even it is forbidden, to mount on a back axis diagonal tires if on a forward axis radial tires are established.

Tire installation on a rim. The additional information. It is necessary to mount the tire so that marks DOT (located) were in a board zone from wheel outer side. Except for tires: with the ordered direction of rotation; with white side piece; with a protective belt on side piece.
Installation of the tubeless tire without the chamber are supposed only on the cars equipped with disks for tubeless tires.
Categorically it is not recommended to mount the tubeless tire together with the chamber if on a disk with a rim installation is made for the tubeless tire.
If similar installation has to be executed, at its realization the chamber should be pumped up very slowly to facilitate an air outlet which can remain between the chamber and a tire cover.
Installation of the tubeless tire on a rim is made for the chamber tire necessarily with the chamber.
Installation of the chamber tire on a rim for tubeless or on a rim for chamber tires is carried out only together with the chamber.
At installation of tubeless tires it is necessary to use the gate corresponding to a rim. To mount the new gate (or a new sealing lining at use of metal gates) at each replacement of a tire cover.
To facilitate good adjoining boards, after installation of their automobile tires it is necessary to pump up to 3,5 bar, and then to finish pressure to the level necessary for operation.

Internal pressure of tires

Observance of norms on internal pressure of the tire has certain value for movement safety. Insufficient level of internal pressure leads to a tire overheat.
Car operation on which tires with internal pressure below the norm are established, recommended by the designer or the manufacturer, can become the reason of damage of tires. These damages are irreversible: they can cause destruction of the tire and lead to sharp loss of pressure.
Negative consequences of insufficient internal pressure not always let know about themselves at once and to come to light only after a while after you have restored internal pressure to norm.
It is necessary regularly, every two week, to check level of internal pressure, without having forgotten thus about a spare wheel.
Control should is made on "the cold" tire as as a result of heating at operation pressure in it raises.

NEVER LOWER PRESSURE IN "THE HOT" TYRE!

The internal pressure measured in "the cold" tire, should correspond always to the norm recommended by the designer of the car or the manufacturer of tires.
It is necessary to watch dense landing of a cap of the gate for maintenance of absolute tightness and protection internal gate parts.

Indexes of loading and speed of tires

On the most part of tires operational characteristics of type of indexes loadings (number) and speeds (letter) are specified
The tires established at a primary complete set, are provided for the maximum loading of the car.
To be assured that the tires mounted at replacement, correspond to technical requirements, address to the expert. As to winter tires "M+S", their index of speed can be more low, than at tires of a primary complete set, but in that case speed of movement should correspond to the given indicator. On the cars which maximum speed exceeds 160 km/h, tires "M+S" having an index of speed more low, than provided by the manufacturer can be established, but it should equal, at least, Q (160 km/h).

Care of tires

It is necessary to examine regularly tires, paying special attention on:
Protector to check up deterioration degree, presence of cuts, local damages and extraneous subjects (particles of gravel, nails etc.);
side piece to check up presence of cuts, degree of deterioration and abnormal deformations.
It is necessary to establish urgently the reasons of occurrence of anomalies at movement: strong vibrations, lateral withdrawal to the right or to the left etc. In case of pressure loss follows immediately will stop, as movement at the internal lowered pressure leads to damage of elements of a design of the tire.
It is necessary to dismantle the tire and to define the reason of loss of pressure.
In the presence of any damage it is necessary to address to the expert to learn its opinion on necessity or repair possibility. Before to start repair, it is recommended to examine its internal part to be convinced of absence of damages or extraneous subjects.

Replacement of tires

It is necessary to check depth of drawing of a protector regularly. On tires there are indicators on which the owner of the car can judge degree of deterioration of a protector. The above deterioration degree, the is more risk slippage on wet road.
In case of replacement of two tires, from the point of view of behavior of the car on road, it is recommended to mount new tires or the least worn out on a back axis. If tires were in operation are mounted it is necessary to secure with opinion of the expert.
For safety it is recommended to use the new chamber for the new chamber tire and the new gate at installation of the new tubeless tire. Tubeless tires should be mounted only on the disks which rims are intended for chamber tires.

The major factors influencing durability of tires

Irrespective of already listed factors service life of a significant amount of tires will decrease because of:
Speed and driving conditions: rough roads, sharp acceleration of movement, frequent braking create conditions which can reduce considerably service life of tires (at speed of 120 km/h the tire wears out in 2 times faster, than at speed 70 km/h);
Ambient temperatures: It is steady against deterioration tires to no small degree depends and on temperature of air during movement;
Overloads: at a tire overload on 20 % its service life decreases for 30 %;
Insufficient level of internal pressure: at pressure upon 20 % below norm service life decrease on the average on 30 % of blows is observed: borders of sidewalks, movement on hollows on high speed, stones and other obstacles can cause damage of the tire, which consequence not always are shown at once.
